Hi all,
The Pacific 2010 maritime expo was held in Sydney recently. As many of you are aware, I am a model builder, so I have an interest in what's being displayed by the manufacturers.
It was a pretty lean year for models, with many of the major shipbuilders staying away, however I have collected some of the images into albums on my Photobucket account.
The first album is general models, including a nice one of the ASMD Anzac showing the significant alterations to carry the CEA-FAR radar and SPS-49 up high.

The second album is shots of the Air Warfare Destroyer, of interest to me due to it being built by a member of Task Force 72, the association I am also a member of. The model is interesting as unlike the others many of you may have seen, this one is a fully operational radio controlled model, and I was interested to see how he had incorporated the various access points for electronics, motors, batteries, radio gear and the operational VLS system.
While useful to me, some of these shots may also prove of interest to members of T5C
