SuperJet International, a joint venture between Finmeccanica's Alenia Aeronautica and Sukhoi Holding, got a contract for 12 Sukhoi SuperJet 100 aircraft, valued at $370 million from Italy's Blue Panorama Airlines, according to a statement Wednesday.

The first batch of four Sukhoi Su-30MK2 fighter jets has been delivered to Vietnam, the head of the Rosoboronexport delegation to the Paris Air Show, Sergei Kornev, said Wednesday.

The second Ilyushin Il-76MF transport aircraft will be handed over to Jordan "at the end of June," Kornev added, confirming that the delivery of both Il-76MFs was seriously delayed.

Russia is to supply 21 Mil Mi-17 helicopters to Afghanistan in 2011-12, to a total of $350 million under a contract with the U.S. Department of Defense, Kornev also said.

Venezuela will build a plant to repair Russian-made helicopters. "We have shipped all aircraft ordered to Venezuela. … The next stage of cooperation is the construction of a plant for overhaul of Mi-35, Mi-17 and Mi-26 helicopters," Kornev said.

Russia supplies Vietnam with SU-30s

Russia’s Sukhoi aircraft manufacturers have dispatched another batch of four Sukhoi SU-30 multipurpose fighters to Vietnam.

The previous set of four fighters was delivered to Vietnam in june.

All in all, 12 SU-30 aircraft along with $1bln worth of armaments, equipment and spare parts will be supplied to Vietnam under the contract.

The SU-30 fighter can hit both ground and sea targets and can fly to longer ranges due to a special refueling in flight system.

More than 130 SU-30 fighters have been delivered to China, Indonesia, Vietnam and Venezuela over the past 10 years.
